A Unique Musical Experience
Mystyx is a dynamic six-piece band formed in 2022, composed of seasoned musicians from Hamilton, Ontario with decades of experience. Specializing in a diverse range of genres, including classic rock from the 60s to today, jazz, blues, and country, Mystyx delivers a unique musical experience. The band’s sound is defined by rich vocal harmonies, and several members are multi-instrumentalists, adding depth and versatility to their performances. The talented lineup includes Frank Rocchi (vocals, keyboards, guitar, and saxophone), Ron Palangio (lead guitar, synth, and vocals), Ken Chesla (keyboards, percussion, and vocals), and the husband-and-wife duo of Cindy Dunn-Doyle (guitar and vocals) and Kevin Doyle (bass, acoustic guitar, and vocals). Completing the ensemble is the band’s newest member, Domenic Pellicciotta on drums. Mystyx is available for private engagements and special events, bringing their exceptional talent and energy to any occasion.

Meet the Band
Frank Rocchi
Keyboard / Guitar / Sax / VocalsFrank has dedicated 50+ years to music, drawing inspiration from iconic artists like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Yes, Supertramp, Van Morrison, and Elton John. A skilled pianist, he achieved Grade 9 at the Royal Conservatory and later expanded his musical talents, adding guitar and saxophone to his repertoire. Throughout his career, Frank has played in a variety of bands, including The Roomers, Matrix, Retro Party Groove, and Trip Daddy and most currently, Mystyx.
Ron Palangio
Lead Guitar / Synth / VocalsRon, originally from North Bay, Ontario, began studying guitar at age 12. He moved to Hamilton in 1978 to study Jazz and Classical guitar at Mohawk College, later graduating with an Honours Bachelor of Music (Summa Cum Laude) from McMaster University. A versatile guitarist skilled in sight reading and improvisation, Ron became a sought-after performer in the Toronto-Hamilton area, playing for professional theatre, big bands, and various dance, pop, and classic rock groups.
Ken Chesla
Keyboard / Percussion / VocalsKen has been performing alongside Frank Rocchi for many years and has been a proud member of Mystyx since 2022. A versatile musician, Ken plays keyboards and percussion while also serving as a lead vocalist and harmonist. His musical influences span a diverse range of artists, including The Beatles, Elton John, Billy Joel, The Rolling Stones, Garth Brooks, and Keith Urban.
Cindy Dunn-Doyle
Guitar / VocalsBorn into a musical family, Cindy learned to sing at an early age, naturally harmonizing with her siblings and Dad, performing throughout Hamilton in the 70s and 80s. She learned to play guitar at the age of 13 and has been playing ever since. Cindy has directed children’s choirs for the Hamilton Catholic School board and has performed in a few local bands and choirs over the years.
Kevin Doyle
Bass / Acoustic Guitar / VocalsAfter a long hiatus, Kevin got back into playing music publicly in 2009, primarily as a bass player. Since then, he has played in a few local Hamilton bands, covering a wide variety of musical genres: Irish; East Coast; Folk; and 60s-90s classic pop and rock. He also sings and plays guitar, mandolin and the bodhran.
Domenic Pellicciotta
DrumsDomenic has devoted more than 50 years to the world of music, starting his journey at the age of 12 and performing live by 14. Throughout his career, he has embraced an eclectic mix of genres, including jazz, jazz fusion, rock, funk, pop, progressive rock, and musical theatre. Domenic's versatility and passion for rhythm have led him to play in numerous bands, most currently Mystyx. Over the years, he has had the privilege of learning from world-class drummers, continually honing his craft and deepening his musical expertise.
